First Fridays are celebrated across the country as a monthly showcase of art, bringing communities together to enjoy creativity in all its forms. Colorado Springs proudly participates in this tradition, with venues across the city opening their doors for public art displays.
Ohana Kava Bar began showing art for First Friday in late 2024. Since then, we’ve regularly applied to be listed as an official First Friday venue through the Colorado Springs Downtown Partnership, giving us the chance to share unique art experiences with the public.
Considering art comes in many forms, we expanded our First Friday offerings in January 2025 to include live stand-up comedy. Each month, Laugh Luau brings together a diverse mix of nationally touring comedians, local favorites, and emerging talent.
Your Host – Morgan Deegan
A longtime Ohana regular and seasoned comic, Morgan got her start in Denver and brings both humor and heart to the stage. Offstage, you’ll often find her at Ohana sharing recovery stories, making friends laugh, or working hands-on with people in recovery and rehabilitation. Our marketing director, Otto, is a veteran of the Colorado comedy scene. These days, he’s more focused on producing stellar shows than performing, ensuring every Laugh Luau lineup is unforgettable.
